Welcome to the Ranch Roots Journal

Alisha Froelich·Mar 16, 2026· 5 minutes

You found this place for a reason. Let me tell you what it's here for.

If you landed here, something brought you.

Maybe you've been trying to figure out social media for your ranch or rural business and nothing you've found actually fits your life.

Maybe you're watching other producers build reach and recognition online and wondering what they know that you don't.

Maybe you're just tired of marketing advice that assumes you have hours of uninterrupted time, reliable Wi-Fi, and a personality that was built for the internet.

Whatever brought you here, I'm glad you're reading this.

Because this blog was built for exactly you.

A little about me first.

My name is Alisha Froelich. I'm the founder of Ranch Wife Marketing, and I live and work on a forth-generation cattle and horse ranch in North Dakota with my husband and our two young sons.

I didn't grow up on a ranch. I grew up passionate about agriculture from the outside, the way a lot of women in this industry do. I studied large animal veterinary medicine, and somewhere along the way I met a fourth-generation rancher and married into this life.

And I love it. Every hard, unpredictable, beautiful part of it.

But when We started using social media to market our horse program, something unexpected happened.

We realized it worked.

Not in the influencer way. Not in the dancing-on-camera, follow-every-trend way. It worked because we started telling the truth about what we raised, why we raised it, and what it meant to us. We documented quality. We showed the work. I\We let people see the real thing.

And buyers started finding us from places we never could have reached through word of mouth alone.

That experience changed how I thought about marketing entirely. And when other women in agriculture started asking us how we were making it work, I started teaching. That teaching became Ranch Wife Marketing.

Here's what this blog is about.

This is not a blog about going viral.

It's not about dancing trends, posting three times a day, or turning yourself into a full-time content creator.

This blog is about building a business that lasts, using the tools that are actually available to you right now.

Every Friday I'll publish a new post on topics like:

How to show up on social media in a way that feels like you, not like a performance.

How to build trust with buyers who have never visited your property, your operation, or your town.

How to create content without it taking over the hours you need for everything else.

How to grow your audience, your reputation, and your income without sacrificing the life you're building this business to protect.

The strategies here are built for ranch schedules, rural values, and businesses where reputation means everything. If you've tried generic marketing advice and found it didn't translate, that's not a you problem. It was a strategy problem.

This blog exists to give you something better.

What you'll find here.

Every post is written to be practical, honest, and grounded in real experience.

No hype. No pressure. No "crush the algorithm" nonsense.

Just clear, useful guidance for rural and western entrepreneurs who want to grow their businesses without becoming someone they're not.

Some posts will teach you a specific strategy or skill. Some will challenge a belief that might be keeping you stuck. Some will share a story from our ranch or from a client's business that illustrates something I think is worth understanding.

All of it is designed to help you build something steady.

A note on who this is really for.

You're probably here because you're capable, hardworking, and clear on the value of what you produce.

What you're less clear on is how to communicate that value to people who aren't already standing in front of you.

That's the gap this blog is here to close.

You don't need to become an influencer. You don't need to change who you are. You don't need a marketing degree or a ring light or a strategy that requires three uninterrupted hours a day.

You need a plan that fits your life and tells the truth about your business.

That's what we're building here, one post at a time.

Start exploring.

The best way to get value from this blog is to start reading.

Browse the recent posts below and find a topic that speaks to where you are right now. Whether you're just getting started with social media or you've been trying to make it work for a while and hitting walls, there's something here for you.

And if you want to go deeper, I'll point you toward the right resources as we go.

Welcome to Ranch Wife Marketing. I'm really glad you're here. 🤎
